Last day of school or MUDFEST 2007

The Twinners finished up their last day of public school- and we have started our Summer Vacation. Well, the Kids have.

Momma don't get no :)

Satisfaction. Vacation. Nap. Flat belly. Nothin'!

So in celebration of their final day... the kids and Cuz' B3 met them in the creek... slinging mud. It was worse than an election year. Mud was everywhere. With the threat of DEATH to anyone who was slining in the direction of The Camera... I made my way through the danger zone.

And have pictures to prove it.

Bored.

Is it sad that I am sitting here, camera in hand... waiting for the kids to do something interesting?

I thought so too.

Field Day

The Twinners had their end of the year field day on Friday. It was an all morning event- and one of the stations had the custodian, with a spray hose, where the kids could line up and cool off.

Yes, it is summer. June 1, and the temp reached 97 before 11 am. It's going to be another hot one. Lovely.

But the girls had fun. Caould you believe our suprise when they were paired up for the 3-leg race? Hummm any guesses who won? :)
The expressions on their faces- awesome. "What's the big deal... we do this ALL the time."

They were pretty cute- as Steven and I walked towards the field, the girls got all excited and started waving "There's my Mom," Oh, there's my Dad!" Then they saw the rest of the monkees... "THERE"S MY WHOLE FAMILY!!"

That was almost as cute as when the girls were racing, and their classmate hollars "Look! One of the Twins is winning!"

Poor Monkees, This One and her sister That One.

We were introduced to all of their friends, classmates, people they kinda knew, and people they had never seen before. Little popularity magnets. They have recently become obsessed with the telephone too- and a certain ONE, and her friend (NOT BOYfriend) have been calling each other quite frequently. Daddy-O didn't take that very well :)

Anyway,  we went, we saw, we took lots of pictures. Tomorrow the little buggars are heading to the pool with all of the 1st graders. That's a lot of tiny hineys in one pool, at one time.

They even have their outfits pick out and ready to go. If it keeps being this warm, I wanna go too!!
