My Duckies...Holmes Sweet Holmes

I know this is late, but I started working on it... and got distracted. Two-fers can seem to swarm you sometimes!!

 

On the 9th, my goils turned 8. Which is just UNREAL.

 

These are the two tiny hineys. Born on 9-9-99, nine minutes apart... on the local news the afternoon they were born. These are the girls with the dynamic hairstyles... which is about the only way we could tell them apart when they were little. I had nightmares that I would mix them up... and they would turn 18 and realize that they had grown up thinking they were "the other one" their whole lives. Wow! Fric... you are really Frac. Haha...ummm opps!

 

We tried the different colored nail polish... Kenny and Billy chose LOVELY shades of dark blue and green... which FREAKED OUT the nursing staff when they came in to check them. Uhh, I guess they look at their toenails to gage their circulation :) Green and blue are NOT what they want to see at first glance!

 

Anyway, a bit later we discovered they had seperate stubborn hairstyles and theat helped keep Fric as Fric and Frac as Frac. Kaylers hair wouldn't go up... and Cadens wouldn't go down.  At least we knew who they were... and the photos are easy to identify!

 

They have continued in their alike but not sort of lives.... same dresses- different colors. Same color, different style. They DID discover that it would mess up all the grown ups if they "swapped" every once in a while. One will be helpful, the other whiney... and when you figured out which whoo was who... they would trade. Just for giggles.

 

We have alternating clean freaks, couch potatoes, girly girls and roller derby chicks. Depends on the day. They also have a revolving set of aliases-

 

Caden and Kayler

George and Eddy

Fric and Frac

This One and That One

they refer to each other as "the Other One"

 

Ahhh- twinner bonds! When they do not have each other in head locks rolling around on the floor, they are teamed up against one or another of the siblings. They finish each others stories... they giggle in unison. They change their clothes in the middle of the day- JUST 'CAUSE.

 

They even lost their front teeth together. Its like they are sisters - OR something!!

 

They can be the sweetest- OR the most ornery of the bunch.... and we have a bunch :)

 

Happy birthday ladies- you  two are something else!

Bella, you are a WHOLE YEAR OLD!

 

Somedays I can't believe that you have ONLY been here a year, other days it still feels like you are brand spankin' new.

 

You are a smiley little monkee, OHHhhhhh those EYES!

Kenny survived. She actually LIVED to see her 11th Birthday! We were all shocked and amazed :)

 

Now, she sits in HER OWN tent, in HER OWN sleeping bag, with her curlers, stationary supplies and HER OWN Harry Potter books~ all set up in the girls room. WIth a big ole grin on her face...

 

We probably won't see her again for a week or so. Except for snacks- but she has sisters for those things!

JJ had a blast. Except he couldn't "find" his birthday- ANYWHERE.

 

Evidentally, finding his Birthday meant "where are the presents and cake!!!"

 

He found it, and loved it all!
